For the Christmas program, I counted the number of speaking parts and divided them evenly between the 3 classes. In order to choose which students got a part, I had a student from each class draw chair numbers out of a cup. That way, everyone had an equal chance at getting a part. I copied parts and sent them home with students today.
Please try to help your child memorize their part over Thanksgiving break. Also, it would be helpful if you could read the part that comes right before your child's lines. Thank you!!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Don't these look delicious! A parent (Mrs. Davis) made them for the 4th grade Thanksgiving Feast. I wish I was that talented! I love how all of the turkeys have different expressions. The cross-eyed one is my favorite. Ha!

Your child will need to wear blue jeans and a solid red shirt. The shirt may be short sleeved or long sleeved. It may be a sweater, t-shirt, sweatshirt, button-down shirt, sparkly red shirt, etc.

1st quarter music program
Congratulations to Mrs. Jones' class, Mrs. Simmons' class, Mrs. Pratt's class, and Mrs. Weber's class for an amazing performance at the music program. Good job!
Mrs. Weber's 4th grade class
Look at all of the Karate Belts that Mrs. Weber's 4th grade class earned this 9 weeks. I am so proud of them. Karate Belts is an optional self-challenge that the students love to participate in. If they wish to earn a "belt", they must perform a song to play in front of the class by themselves while making 3 mistakes or less. The belts are earned in this order: white, yellow, blue, green, black. As you can see, the students did a fantastic job. Way to go!!

costume update
If you can't find a plain black shirt, a dark gray or navy blue shirt will work just fine. If it has a picture or writing on it just wear it backwards. (A shirt worn inside out will work in a pinch.) And don't forget the blue jean pants.
